Just a short walk away is The Village of Betws-y-Coed " The Gateway to Snowdonia".

Betws y Coed is The Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park and North Wales. The Village has excellent restaurants with much of the Menu's locally sourced. If out door clothing is what you are after there is more than enough to keep everyone happy.
It is the ideal base from which to discover the magnificent walks, fantastic scenery rugged Coastline that, Snowdonia , Betws y Coed and the rest of North Wales has to offer. There is something for everyone.

  2012 Snowdonia Marathon Only 2000 places available. October 27th. This is one of the best marathons in the UK and if your up for a challenge sign up asap.
  
  
  
  For getting out and about why not use the SHERPA bus service. A great way to get around Snowdonia and now for only £1. Travel from Betws-y-Coed to Pen-y-Pass. Take the Pig/Miners Track Up Snowdon. Come down the Llanberis route. Bus from Llanberis back to Betws-y-Coed all for £1
  
  
  For those that enjoy Great Winter scenery, Snow capped Mountains in Snowdonia cannot be beaten. Walk through "Winter Wonderland" forests. Walk in the fresh air. Nothing can beat the area around Betws y Coed, and the Snowdonia national park. Why be anywhere else.
